No local or international trekker will pass up a chance to go up the Roopkund trail. Still, this will require lot of planning, since the trail is not as easy as one will normally assume. The trail contains everything that a trekker will enjoy, such as huge snow-clad Himalayan Mountain peaks, deep virgin forests, breath-taking campsites, gurgling brooks, miles and miles of undulating and enchanting meadows, ice, and snow. The biggest attraction or the major adventure in Roopkund trail is that you have to climb nearly 8,000 feet in four days, from 8,300 feet at Lohajung, which is a tiny pass located in the heart of the Himalayan Mountain range. Lohajung is 85 kilometers from Karnaprayag and you can reach Lohajung by road from Karnaprayag.
