The National Park at Plitvice
Croatian people are very proud of their National Park at Plitvice in Istria and once you arrive in this breathtaking place of natural beauty, you can really understand why this is. The park is now a World heritage site in recognition of the fact that it is simply one of the most outstanding places of natural beauty in Croatia. It is also in this park that you will find 'travertine' which is a type of limestone which has been deposited over time by hot mineral springs.
